Today my family held a reunion out at the lake. This side (paternal grandmother) had not gotten together since I was in high school. Maybe even middle school.
It is a neat experience to see people that you played with as a child, and then have not seen in years. It is really interesting to see how everyone turned out, meet spouses and children, and actually still enjoy each others' company even after so many years of absence. Some people I recognized immediately, and some I did not recognize at all!
Not many families can reconnect that way. I am incredibly lucky to be a part of one that can.
